i am small and everything sparkles

last night i had a dream where i woke up on a tree branch outside my bedroom window. i had become very small and it was night time. i laid there for a minute, totally in awe. all the twisted branches were snow covered, glittering with white sparkles and hurting my eyes. too bright but so beautiful. then i felt cold and wet. i was covered also covered in snow, so i went inside and back to sleep.

thinking about it later, maybe i felt i was literally out on a limb somehow. i knew i wasn't scared but i didn't want to stay there either.

Because, you see...

look at how ironic the picture is! it's a picture of barbie heads and the tools to make more barbie heads. meanwhile there's a superimposed key that says "do not duplicate". get it? because, you see...there's these barbie heads and...

Souls Float

i'd like to imagine this is how we look upon exit from the mortal coil. floating up into otherworlds. is that too new-agey? whatever.

At least Petrarch loved me

"Francesco Petrarca (July 20, 1304 – July 19, 1374), known in English as Petrarch, was an Italian scholar, poet and one of the earliest Renaissance humanists. Petrarch is often called the "Father of Humanism"

On April 6, 1327, Good Friday, after Petrarch gave up his vocation as a priest, the sight of a woman called "Laura" in the church of Sainte-Claire d'Avignon awoke in him a lasting passion, celebrated in the Rime sparse ("Scattered rhymes"). Later, Renaissance poets who copied Petrarch's style named this collection of 366 poems Il Canzoniere ("Song Book").

Laura is unreachable – the few physical descriptions are vague, almost impalpable as the love he pines for, and such is perhaps the power of his verse, which lives off the melodies it evokes against the fading, diaphanous image that is no more consistent than a ghost
. Who Laura was and even if she really existed is a bit of a mystery."

Yes well... no kidding.
